In Columbus this week it is “Bike To Work Week”, I fully understand that it is a green initiative but truly how does this make a difference?  If you have ever travelled in any of the Asian parts of the world with the large number of bikers it takes FUCKING FOREVER to get anywhere..so you sit idling in a car far longer putting more pollutants in the air.  Honestly Mayor Coleman might benefit from this initiative since he wont have to ride with his drunk wife…God I loved that Video where she was pulled over HIGHLY intoxicated, they played it over and over on all the Columbus stations.   Living in Columbus where we have a large per capita number of officers per residents it is weird to see all the propoganda spewed out by the mayors office in regard to all the “Services” that will be have to be cut…maybe we dont need a chauffer for the mayor?  or Bodygaurd, or a “Liason” that is paid in excess of 80,000 a year?   This post I know will be unpopular so for that I more than likely will not post any comments.  I have been a life long Democrat and proudly supported Mr. Obama in his quest for President but in Columbus we need new blood in the Mayors office, and the City Council.  The actions of these people makes me think maybe I should be looking for a glimmer of hope within the Republican Party.   Since I am on a political rant today this is for Southwestern City Schools.  QUIT PUTTING THESE LOSER TAX LEVYS ON THE BALLOT EVERY ELECTION AND MAYBE PEOPLE WOULD APPROVE ONE.  I honestly believe if all these parents want to bitch, whine and complain and cry all over the news then why don’t they dig into their pockets for THEIR kids, they had them, it is their responsibility to pay for their own childrens education it is not mine or others people who do not have children.  SO shut the fuck up!   Also please note their are multiple private schools so quit expecting other people to pay your share and dig in your musty old wallet and pay the tuition!

OK, I just had to tell you about this experience Kyle and I just had.  We had not been to Smokey Bones since it was first built at Easton and it was really bad, but we thought it had been a long time and the menu online looked much improved so we thought it was worth a chance…were we fucking wrong.  We walked into the Grove City Smokey Bones and there was a older couple that were standing in front of the “hostess” podium and she already looked confused because even though we heard the older couple tell her “2″ when she asked how many, she said “4?”.  The lady again said “2″ and after a minute or two of penciling on her seating sheet she finds them a table.  The bizarre part of this is that there were only 10 tables with people at them in the whole place and not one person at the bar….so seating is not rocket science but when the restaurant is empty I am pretty sure even a mentally challenged inbred is capable.  The “hostess” came back to the podium and before she even could speak to us a “waitress” said to her “dont you seat me for at least 15 minutes“.  The hostess then ask us how many we tell her 2, she looks at her penciled sheet and says ” well she is the next to be seated so you will have to wait a few minutes“.  The weird part is that while she is saying this to us we can see 3 waitresses talking, laughing and two of them were trying on each others shoes (what the fuck is this shit?).  We decided to leave as the hostess then decided she “might be able to figure something out“…if they cant figure out seating do you think they are capable of preparing food? We decided to go to another restaurant along Stringtown Road and what do you know we got seated right away.

Alas the morning has come……

Wow, did I have a great sleep, after having a night of little or no sleep and then Gallery Hop Saturday in retail hell it was very welcomed.  I am running down my friend Joe’s Christmas gift, I figured he might be wanting his traditional bottle of alcohol from me and Kyle.

New Years Day.

I have completely enjoyed my first day of the new year 2009.  To be completely honest I have accomplished nothing at all and its fine with me.  Kyle and I both decided today was going to be a day to truly just relax and rest.  I watched a couple movies on DVD, The Rose Bowl Parade, posted my “Hot Tasty Morsel of the Day“.  On Friday I am working the first part of the day and then I have plans with Red, and two of our other friends for a little road trip adventure.  Who doesn’t enjoy a good adventure?  I don’t think I will have time to do a post on Friday, and possibly not Saturday either (Its Freaking Gallery Hop again!) Hi there boys and girls I hope you all survived New Years Eve without any DUI’s or arrest.  I have already talked to a few people that were out at events around C-bus and the turn out was less than spectacular.  I guess the dismal economic news may have had an impact.  I think alot of it is that we cannot escape the bad news.  I know I read it every day in the newspaper, on Yahoo and MSN on the computer, and on TV every night .  The one thing I guess we can count on is my “Hot Tasty Morsel of the Day”.
