Welcome back to my Gay Perspective, and my silly little blog about my life and then what I think is truly a Morsel.  I have been away for a few days.  If I am being honest Ihave just not felt like writing a blog lately.  Its weird on how for so long you look forward to coming home and writing and sharing my thoughts and then you just feel like you have given all you can give.  Well I am back and feeling fine so I hope you all have not abandon me.

Today was very busy at my little Retail Hell location in the Short North, I saw a pack of makeup free female illusionist ( Drag Queens) walking back from Starbucks, helped multiple people find something special and visited the North Market where it was full of christains  that were there to hear some Evangelist Joyce Meyer I think is that bitch’s name.  Level seems to be progressing very nicely and I am excited to see it finally open as you all know I have been a very adamant supporter.  I do hope all of you are aware that Pride this year is at Goodale Park for the first year and the Parade is starting at the Statehouse at Broad and High and progressing North on High Street to Buttles and then to the park.  I am debating if I am going to serve Mimosas at the store on the day of Pride…I just think if its hot a nice refreshment might be a welcome treat.

Last night I was at Club Diversity on South High Street for a fundraiser for Camp Sunrise http://www.sunrisekids.org sponsored by the Columbus Bear group…not sure of their official name to be honest.  I did buy a autographed Broadway Program from Nathan Lane.  If you know what I can do with it, let me know I bought it just to help the organization.   I have to admit it was a fun night though I was there with Kyle and the Infamous RED, then 6 of my other friends.  The conversations were pretty wide ranged and it kept the night very lively.  Tonight I am going to U bar+ Food for the another fundraiser for the same charity…I will let you know how it went.

I watched American Idol tonight and was sort of in shock that Kris Allen beat Adam Lambert.  I find it embarassing if I am being truthful, if your a regular reader of my blog you know I am not shy with my opinion.  I would bet that the truth will be revealed once the record sales are totalled.  Adam had the range and uniqueness that were compelling, hell he warranted full articles in The Advocate, Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone magazines.  I know some of you are thinking that since I am gay I am going to side for Adam Lambert, and that isnt really true.  I believe that Allison and Danny both were far more talented than Kris, it was quite evident watching the finale tonight.  Allison sang with the legendary Cyndi Lauper and Danny sang with Lionel Richie, both were fantastic while Kris was sad and flat as usual.  Republicans lost the big election but the sad conservatives sure as fuck won American Idol.

I do apologize that I have been away for a few days.  I have been very busy with work and watching the progress at Level Dining Lounge.  I first want to cover TV tonight.  OK Dancing with the Stars…umm Shawn Johnson are you fucking kidding me?  Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME? that’s some crazy bullshit.  Gilles and Melissa were far more talented, but I guess they didn’t play to the hearts of the overweight middle aged housewives of middle America.  Then over at American Idol Adam Lambert blew that no talent Kris Allen out of the water.  If you watch Kris when he sings only one side of his mouth moves…he reminds me of a stroke victim.  Anyone else noticed this ?  The one bright shining spot is that after American Idol, a new show by the producers of Nip/Tuck  called GLEE.  I didn’t truly expect much but was surprised, it was weird, different and wonderful.  Give it a chance everybody I already set it for a Season Pass on Tivo.

In Columbus this week it is “Bike To Work Week”, I fully understand that it is a green initiative but truly how does this make a difference?  If you have ever travelled in any of the Asian parts of the world with the large number of bikers it takes FUCKING FOREVER to get anywhere..so you sit idling in a car far longer putting more pollutants in the air.  Honestly Mayor Coleman might benefit from this initiative since he wont have to ride with his drunk wife…God I loved that Video where she was pulled over HIGHLY intoxicated, they played it over and over on all the Columbus stations.   Living in Columbus where we have a large per capita number of officers per residents it is weird to see all the propoganda spewed out by the mayors office in regard to all the “Services” that will be have to be cut…maybe we dont need a chauffer for the mayor?  or Bodygaurd, or a “Liason” that is paid in excess of 80,000 a year?   This post I know will be unpopular so for that I more than likely will not post any comments.  I have been a life long Democrat and proudly supported Mr. Obama in his quest for President but in Columbus we need new blood in the Mayors office, and the City Council.  The actions of these people makes me think maybe I should be looking for a glimmer of hope within the Republican Party.   Since I am on a political rant today this is for Southwestern City Schools.  QUIT PUTTING THESE LOSER TAX LEVYS ON THE BALLOT EVERY ELECTION AND MAYBE PEOPLE WOULD APPROVE ONE.  I honestly believe if all these parents want to bitch, whine and complain and cry all over the news then why don’t they dig into their pockets for THEIR kids, they had them, it is their responsibility to pay for their own childrens education it is not mine or others people who do not have children.  SO shut the fuck up!   Also please note their are multiple private schools so quit expecting other people to pay your share and dig in your musty old wallet and pay the tuition!
